First time here, but I always saw the place, I thought it's just a simple restaurant, the place was nice inside, the food we had was superb and the service was very good

nice place, old fashioned family business, very warm welcomethe food was delicious, but beware: gargantuan quantities, you better be hungryas everywhere in this northern region of Portugal, prices are ridiculously low

Perfectly cooked fish always gets 5stars from me, and this was it - so fresh it could have just jumped out of the sea, cooked lightly to perfect tenderness with love, but with a salty crisp skin seasoned just right, so all you needed as the addition of a glug of excellent olive oil from the bottle provided. A generous portion too. The starter was their house sausage which was filled with a smokey mash reminiscent of rillettes in texture, that we squashed onto our bread and ate like ravenous beasts. Our neighbouring table took four home in a plastic bag. This is a lovely family run place, full of local colour. Dad cooks (expertly) in the back while mum and son run front of house. It was a very pleasant Saturday lunch sitting outside in the sunshine. We will return, the steak looked good.
